Amber Run
“What Could Be As Lonely As Love”
Gold Certified U.K. indie outfit Amber Run has released the video for “What Could Be As Lonely As Love,” which can be found below alongside the track off the bands forthcoming album, Philophobia which tackles the concept of human connection and the “fear of falling in love”.
“Unconsciously, over the course of our three records, it feels like we’ve started to soundtrack the more difficult moments in people’s lives.” frontman Joe Keogh explains. “With this song, we wanted to juxtapose the sentiment of not feeling worthy of love with a more optimistic soundtrack, in order to gain some perspective when you’re too deep in the situation to see clarity. We wanted both sides of the coin.”
“What Could Be As Lonely As Love” joins “The Darkness Has a Voice,” “Affection” and “Carousel” on Philophobia, a soul-searching exploration into how every person will experience some degree of love within their lifetime. Amber Run’s abstract approach to songwriting has allowed the band to cultivate a steadfast fanbase who’ve have propelled the band to selling nearly 30,000 headlining tickets throughout the US and UK and to secure Gold Certification by the RIAA for their single “I Found.” The band boasts over 250 million global streams since their formation in 2012. Later this fall they will begin their longest North America tour to date.
