Bishop Briggs gave a heart-warming and energetic performance to her dedicated Minnesota fans last Tuesday night at the Palace Theatre.
In addition to Briggs’ electric performance, the venue was lucky to host two phenomenal openers: Miya Folick and Jax Anderson. Jax Anderson, formerly known as Flint Eastwood, welcomed the crowd to the tour and loosened up everyone in the audience. Playfully teasing the audience before performing “Monster” was a definite highlight. Miya Folick took to the stage shortly after and kept the energy building. The way she alternated between the sweeter and heavier vocal tones was captivating. Her live rendition of “Thingamajig” was especially breathtaking, and there was a feeling in the venue that we had all just witnessed something special.

Finally, a digital countdown began on the large LED screens leading up to Bishop Briggs’ entrance. Briggs bounded onto the stage and didn’t seem to stop running for the entirety of her set. “Champion” was broadcasted in block letters behind her during the first song, celebrating her November 7 album release. And Bishop Briggs was a champion throughout her set. She delivered each song with passion and heart, showing her gratitude by taking the time to bask in the cheers of the crowd. She gifted us with a phenomenal mashup of Twenty One Pilots, Panic! At the Disco, and My Chemical Romance. Adorned with a skeleton hoodie, the darker vibes of her show like “Jekyll & Hide” added to the entire experience.
Everything about this show, from the two amazing openers to Briggs’ stunning set was perfection. As soon as the bill for this tour was announced expectations were high. Bishop Briggs did not disappoint.
