Inaugurated in 1999, Voodoo Music + Arts Festival graced New Orleans with a weekend of entertainment and culture. Taking place Halloween weekend every year, the spooky yet fun ambience of the holiday integrates itself into New Orleans’ natural aura of creepiness and eerie history. Most importantly, the music is the key pull factor that causes festival-goers every year to make their way to Louisiana around the last week of October.
On June 5th, Voodoo announced the lineup of its unique festival for the 20th year in a row. This year in particular, proves how current and universal the festival truly is. Voodoo features notable headliners Mumford & Sons, Arctic Monkeys, and Childish Gambino. However, the undercard of the festival contains promising acts as well. Alternative musicians such as Albert Hammond Jr., Wallows, White Reaper, Big Thief, Sofi Tukker, and Sunflower Bean, are all also set to play the festival.
